The Funnel
So we just went with the traditional funnel approach. This is when I began to have a profound respect for the brilliance of gas stations, where all you do is stand there with a tidy little nozzle that doesn't get all sticky, and the thing knows when you're full! It's simply marvelous the way gas stations make obtaining fuel so convenient! To know how full the tank is, we need to go around and turn the ignition to see where the gas indicator registers.
